Terms of Service
Effective date: May 23, 2026
These are the terms of service for Willow (“Willow”, “we”, “us”), a product of Willow Intelligence, Inc. By using Willow, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use Willow.
We’ve tried to write these in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected].
What Willow does
Willow is an AI assistant that connects to your Gmail (read-only) and surfaces messages that need your attention — tasks, time-sensitive notices, and security flags. We describe in more detail what Willow does, what data it processes, and how it handles that data in our Privacy Policy.
Who can use Willow
You can use Willow if:
- You are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- You have the legal authority to enter into these terms.
- You have a valid Google account with Gmail access.
- You will use Willow for your own personal or business email — not on behalf of someone else without their explicit authorization.
If you are using Willow for a job (for example, on a work email account), you confirm you have permission from your employer to do so.
Account and access
To use Willow, you connect your Google account via Sign in with Google and grant Willow read-only access to your Gmail. You can revoke this access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, which will stop Willow from reading any further mail.
You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Anything done from your account in Willow is treated as done by you.
How we may change Willow
Willow is under active development. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may add usage limits, change pricing, or modify how Willow processes mail. When we make material changes, we’ll let you know by email.
If a change is unacceptable to you, your remedy is to stop using Willow and revoke its access to your Gmail.
What you can’t do with Willow
Don’t use Willow to:
- Process mail that doesn’t belong to you, or that you don’t have permission to access.
- Try to break, probe, or reverse-engineer Willow’s systems.
- Resell, sublicense, or rebrand Willow’s output as your own product.
- Do anything illegal, or anything that would put us, Google, or other users at risk.
If we believe you’re violating these terms, we may suspend or terminate your access without notice.
Pricing
During private beta, Willow is invite-only and may be free or paid depending on the arrangement we’ve agreed with you individually. If pricing changes, we’ll notify you by email before any charges apply, and you’ll have the chance to stop using Willow before being billed.
Willow’s AI is not perfect
Willow uses AI models to read your mail and decide what’s important. AI models make mistakes. Willow may miss things, surface things you don’t care about, or describe a message incorrectly.
You shouldn’t rely on Willow as your sole source of truth for important communications. We strongly recommend keeping your regular Gmail workflow alongside Willow, especially in the early stages.
We are not liable for anything you miss, mishandle, or misunderstand as a result of relying on Willow’s output. You remain responsible for your own email.
Our intellectual property
The Willow service, software, design, and brand are owned by Willow Intelligence, Inc. Using Willow doesn’t give you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what’s needed to use the service.
Your data — the contents of your Gmail and any data Willow derives from it — remains yours.
Termination
You can stop using Willow at any time by revoking its access to your Gmail and asking us to delete your account (email [email protected]). Within 30 days of termination, we’ll delete your data per our Privacy Policy.
We may terminate your access to Willow at any time if we believe you’re violating these terms, if continuing to provide service to you puts the service at risk, or if we discontinue the service.
Warranty and liability
Willow is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do everything we reasonably can to make it work well, but we don’t make any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Willow Intelligence, Inc. and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of Willow.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of Willow is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions don’t allow exclusions or limitations of certain warranties or liabilities. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Willow Intelligence, Inc. against any claims arising from your misuse of Willow, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we’ll let you know by email and update the effective date above. Continued use of Willow after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
