The terms below are maintained with Termageddon and update automatically as laws change. The Service-Specific Terms that follow them are maintained by us and cover what is specific to Willow as an AI assistant. If the two conflict, the Service-Specific Terms control for the Willow service itself.
Service-Specific Terms
Who can use Willow
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), have the legal authority to enter these terms, and have a valid Google account with Gmail access. If you use Willow on a work email account, you confirm your employer permits it.
What Willow does
Willow is an AI assistant that connects to your Google account. It reads your Gmail and surfaces the messages that need your attention. With your permission it also reads your calendar and your existing Drive files, creates Google Sheets and Docs for you, and answers your questions about your mail in chat, drawing on facts it remembers about you. Willow can draft and send email from its own address, [email protected], and can create, update, or cancel calendar events. Willow never sends email from your Gmail account. How Willow handles your data is described in our Privacy Policy, including the Google API Services Disclosure.
You approve every send and every calendar change
Willow shows you the exact email before it sends it, and the exact change before it touches your calendar, and it does nothing until you approve. You are responsible for the emails Willow sends and the calendar changes Willow makes after you approve them. (Creating a Google Sheet or Doc does not send anything and does not change your mail or calendar.)
Willow’s AI is not perfect
Willow uses AI models to read your mail, decide what is important, answer your questions, and draft actions for you. AI models make mistakes: Willow may miss things, surface things you do not care about, describe a message incorrectly, or draft something wrong. Do not rely on Willow as your sole source of truth for important communications, and review what Willow drafts before you approve it. We are not liable for anything you miss, mishandle, or misunderstand as a result of relying on Willow’s output; you remain responsible for your own email, calendar, and messages.
Willow’s output is not professional advice
Willow may summarize or describe messages that touch on legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional topics. That output is provided for convenience only - it is not legal, financial, tax, medical, or any other form of professional advice, and you should not act on it as such. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions in these areas.
Your data
The contents of your Gmail and any data Willow derives from it remain yours. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy, including the Google API Services Disclosure.
